  • The Back Shelf Tri Flow hood (BSTF) is a compensating back shelf hood introducing make-up air through face registers and perforated end panels that allow make-up air to be directed out each end of the hood, lowering the velocity of the air through the face registers. Tempered make-up air may be necessary in colder climates. Back Shelf hoods are not full-coverage canopies. They are mounted directly to the wall behind the cooking equipment at a distance of 18” to 24” from the top of the cooking surface to the bottom edge of the grease filters. The cooking equipment should not extend more than 36” from the wall. The BSTF hood model is recommended for light to medium cooking loads.

Features
  • Standard Hood Width: 30”
  • Standard Hood Lengths: One-piece construction from 4’ through 12’
  • Standard Hood Height: 36”
  • Material Types: 430 & 304 Stainless Steel or Aluminized Steel
  • Non-listed sizes and alternative materials are available
  • UL classified Aluminum Baffle type grease filters
  • Full crate and packaging
  • 100% freight allowed pricing
  • Larkin Industries constructs the BSTF hood from heavy gauge materials, and employs a solid welded standing seam construction
  • Construction techniques and strict quality control measures ensure a top quality end product that is built to provide years of trouble-free service
  • The BSTF hood features a special design and is not a full-coverage canopy hood; this model is to be mounted to the wall directly behind the cooking equipment at 18” to 24” from the top of the cooking surface to the bottom edge of the filter bank; the cooking equipment should not extend more than 36” from the wall
  • Front mounted face registers and perforated end panels introduce up to 90% of the system’s required make-up air
  • The Model BSTF is built in accordance with: NFPA96, ETL listed and tested to UL710 Standards, and approved by the NSF

Advantages

  • The use of heavy gauge materials and construction techniques result in an end product that is more rigid and easier to install
  • The BSTF hood is shipped complete with no external plenums to install
  • The make-up air is introduced in a way that allows a portion of the make-up air to spill from the perforated end panels. This limits the throw to within a few feet of the hood allowing the make-up air to be re-exhausted and reduce the HVAC load of the kitchen
  • Superior system efficiency with minimal removal of conditioned air from the kitchen space
  • Make-up air is discharged in a manner that does not interfere with capture and containment of the kitchen hood system and does not impede cooking operations below the hood
  • The BSTF hood is recommended for most cooking applications from light to medium cooking loads
  • 100% freight allowed pricing guarantees you will never see freight bills
