  • The Smoke Sucker Low Ceiling (SSLC) hood model is a self-compensating canopy style hood. The SSLC hood is built with a short front design that allows for more headroom in low ceiling applications. This hood model introduces make-up air through a perforated panel along the bottom and inside edge of the hood. This perforated panel supplies up to 80% of the make-up air directly into the canopy as well as down from the front edge. This hood design boasts superior efficiency compared to other hood models by removing minimal amounts of conditioned air from the kitchen space; it also reduces the amount of tempered air needed in colder climates. The SSLC hood model is recommended for light to medium cooking loads.

  • A full-length perforated panel along the bottom and inside edge of the hood introduces up to 80% of the system’s required make-up air
  • The Model SSLC is built with a short front to allow greater headroom in a low ceiling application
  • The Model SSLC is built in accordance with: NFPA96, ETL listed and tested to UL710 Standards, and approved by the NSF

Advantages

  • The use of heavy gauge materials and construction techniques result in an end product that is more rigid and easier to install
  • The SSLC hood is shipped complete with no external plenums to install
  • Supply of the make-up air is directed into the kitchen hood canopy and allows a significant amount of the make-up air to be re-exhausted; this reduces the HVAC load of the kitchen
  • Superior system efficiency with minimal removal of conditioned air from the kitchen space
  • Make-up air is introduced in a way that reduces the need for tempered make-up air
  • Kitchen comfort is maintained in all seasons due to the make-up air being immediately exhausted and not cooling/heating the kitchen space
  • Make-up air is discharged in a manner that does not interfere with capture and containment of the kitchen hood system and does not impede cooking operations below the hood
  • Can be used in conjunction with one of Larkin Industries optional external supply plenums
  • The SSLC hood is recommended for most cooking applications from light to medium cooking loads
  • 100% freight allowed pricing guarantees you will never see freight bills
