The Short Circuit Air Curtain (SCAC) hood model is a self-compensating canopy style hood. This hood model introduces make-up air in two methods. The make-up air is discharged down from the bottom edge of the hood through flush mounted registers. A portion of the make-up air is delivered directly into the canopy through a full-length, self-balancing, internal slot. The Short Circuit design of this hood requires less tempered make-up air than other models. The SCAC hood model is recommended for light to medium cooking loads.
